Life as a Twig

I wonder
if the twig
knows of
the branch
out there
always
lifting
holding
keeping
touch

or does
the twig
only see
distant
solitary-
seeming
other twigs
unmindful
of the branch
holding
lifting
keeping
touch
with them
all?
